Create a Customer Job Work Order

What is Customer Job Work Order?

Many Customers will negotiate with their Contractors to agree on a pre-defined Quantity to receive and what to charge for it. So Job Work Order is like a blanket order with an agreement between the Customer and Vendor that customers will send Materials and Vendor agreed for a fixed amount for pre-defined period to work on it.

This process is exact opposite to the “Job Work for Subcontractor” process.

Note: Creation of Job Work Order is not a mandatory process and you can also receive the Materials directly by creating an Inward DC. However Job Work Order helps to manage the process and controls.

Subcontractor would use this Job Work Order as a reference to check the Inward of Materials and ensure that he sends the FG as per the agreed terms and prices. If the quantity received exceeds the agreed quantity, then ERP would stop the Subcontractor from receiving additional RMs and he has to renegotiate the unit price again or receive extra money as per the latest price points.

One Job Work Order can be used to make multiple Inward Delivery Challans. Each IDC can be used to make multiple Outward DCs or Multiple IDCs can be combined to make one ODC too.

Please note that

  1. In this process, the received materials are NOT ADDED to the subcontractor inventory.
  2. We keep the RMs received against each IDC as separate ones.
  3. The IDC is linked to ODC and that helps to consume the RM received in IDC.
